Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a healthcare organization that is hiring a skilled AWS Infrastructure Engineer. This company is committed to leveraging cutting-edge cloud infrastructure to support its mission of delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions for healthcare data processing. This is a remote opportunity for residents of the state of North Carolina.

The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in AWS infrastructure, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for optimizing systems in fast-paced environments. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain critical cloud infrastructure, implementing best practices in security, performance, and compliance to support organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement AWS infrastructure, including secure multi-account landing zones, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Configure and manage AWS services, such as IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, AWS Config, EC2, and VPN, to meet enterprise needs.
  • Apply zero-trust security principles and NIST framework best practices to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in an Agile/Waterfall hybrid environment.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance to support mission-critical applications.
  • Document processes, configurations, and security protocols to ensure operational consistency.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure management, with 3+ years focused on AWS services.
  • Proficiency with AWS tools, including IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Macie, and AWS Managed Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Strong knowledge of zero-trust security best practices and the NIST cybersecurity framework.
  • Experience working with sensitive data (e.g., PHI/PII) in highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools and scripting (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, Python).
