Accentuate Staffing is assisting a leading custom equipment manufacturer in Durham, NC who is looking for a Machine Shop Helper/Laborer to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity working 6:30am-5pm Monday-Thursday and is a great way to gain CNC Machining or Fabrication experience.
Responsibilities:
- Machine Shop Helper will assist in the operation of CNC Machines and other shop equipment.
- Perform grinding, polishing, sanding, and caulking tasks as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials and products.
- Complete tasks efficiently and accurately within given timeframes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a machine shop environment or construction/carpentry environment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Trade or Technical school a plus
