Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Global AR and Credit Manager for a multi-national manufacturer in the RTP area. The Global AR and Credit Manager has oversight for worldwide customer receivables from invoice to cash.  In addition, the position is involved with strategic and tactical AR risk assessment decisions and works closely with Sales and Finance management to develop strategies to increase revenue, improve cash flow, and mitigate AR risk per the assignment of billing terms, credit limits, and driving decisions and activities related to past due customers and required collection processes.

This role coordinates activities on a global basis to assure AR collections are promptly and accurately recorded and provides data as needed to support various Treasury functions and deliverables. The position will be involved with generating and forecasting cash by supporting activities related to the company’s securitization program.

The position engages in establishing and attaining key Accounts Receivable goals and metrics and reports results to management.  The position manages and coordinates the duties of a small AR staff that will support the attainment of Treasury/AR objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing review and aging trends of Accounts Receivable and deliver key reports to management monthly
  • Develop, administer, and implement KPI’s with plans to improve DSO and cash flow performance
  • Working with global teams, lead and develop collection strategies and processes for past due customers and recommend customer account holds as necessary
  • Develop customer reporting to provide to BRM’s including payment/past due trends, exposures vs credit limits, and any information which can assist in mitigating credit risk
  • Drive resolution to disputes and determine reasoning for payment delays.
  • Develop an understanding of contractual payment terms that company has with key customers and initiate strategies to track and potentially overcome activities that may result in delayed payments.
  • Support weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Securitization program management – monitor program for overall performance, strategically align and develop new programs as needed and develop routine reporting for management
  • Manage bad debt reserve process with Accounting and Sales
  • Develop credit policy and establish routine credit reviews to mitigate potential exposures
  • Develop and establish credit risk assessment processes and controls
  • Provide oversight to local AR administrative team to confirm daily operational duties are performed timely and accurately. Any irregularities or incorrect postings should be investigated and resolved.
  • Represent the AR team in communicating with internal/external audit in providing data and strategies related to AR balances, past due and overall exposure decisions.
  • Position should continuously review existing Credit/AR processes and make recommendation for improvements that will improve efficiencies, improve internal controls, or provide a positive impact to overall operations.
  • Other adhoc duties and reporting as required

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration and/or Finance
  • 5+ years in a Credit/AR department preferably in a multi-national manufacturing or working capital intensive industry
  • Strong understanding of cash flow concepts, financial statements, and forecasting
  • Demonstrated experience in managing/consolidating/analyzing multi-jurisdictional cash flows
  • Ability to review and interpret financial statements in various formats and levels of complexity and be able to recommend credit related decisions from the analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment across business/service lines/departments and transition between high-level thinking and daily responsibilities
  • Excellent communication, analytical, written, and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with global finance teams.
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP, BPC and Qliksense a plus
