Accentuate Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support procurement operations for an IT consulting firm. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing technology hardware, software, licensing, and business services while ensuring cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, and compliance with company policies. The Purchasing Agent will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to support project delivery and day-to-day operational needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure IT hardware, software, licensing, and office equipment to support client projects and internal operations.
  • Create, issue, and manage purchase orders through ERP or procurement systems.
  • Obtain competitive quotes, evaluate vendors, negotiate pricing, and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Track orders from placement through delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment and resolving shipment or invoice discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of technology assets and office supplies.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor contracts, and procurement documentation.
  • Support contract renewals for software subscriptions, maintenance agreements, and vendor services.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier consolidation.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, software licensing requirements, and vendor agreements.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferably in an IT, technology, or professional services environment.
  • Experience purchasing IT hardware, software, SaaS subscriptions, or technology services preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong vendor and internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
