Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Medical Billing and Patient Coordinator to join a busy home infusion company in Raleigh. After training this position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule working from home several days a week. This position will participate in coordinating/scheduling the processing and delivery of patient orders with pharmacists and performing pre-delivery phone calls to patients to discuss their insurance coverage, deductibles, OOP, and set up a payment plan if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in coordinating/scheduling the processing and delivery of patient orders with the pharmacist
- Working directly with the patient to discuss their insurance coverage, deductibles, OOP, and set up a payment plan if needed.
- Obtains a deposit, at a minimum, from each patient.
- Creates invoice for each new patient, if necessary, to include in first drug delivery to patient.
- Establishes and maintains tracking system and makes follow up patient phone calls for payments
- Posting of payments into CPR Software from Insurance carrier and /or payments from patients and following multiple payments.
- Answers the telephone and triages to appropriate person as indicated.
- Participates in department QA activities as requested.
- Attends designated department meetings as scheduled.
Requirements:
- Min of 1-3 years of similar experience is required
- Knowledge if Medicaid Part D is preferred
- Previous Pharmacy Tech experience would be preferred
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- High School Diploma is required
- Must be Proficient with MS Office
