Accentuate Staffing is working with leading company in Cary, NC who is in need of a Controls Engineer. This is a great role in automation manufacturing and robotics and a Direct Hire opportunity. It is partly remote and partly onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Define project specifications and project lifecycle
- Create test plans
- Define database structures for defining test criteria and storing results
- Document electrical and controls schematics
- Develop test and calibration software
- Develop intuitive user interfaces and HMI applications
- Control and test system validation
- Create test instruction and other documentation for operation
- Continuous support and improvement of installed equipment
- Work in collaboration with manufacturing engineering team to solve production issues, efficiency and continuous improvement goals.
- Work with Electrical, Mechanical and Software Design Engineers to implement new calibration software and tests
- Analyze product specifications, firmware and existing test programs to determine test requirements for new product introductions and continuous improvement of existing test systems.
- Implement corrective actions due to internal and customer quality issues
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure manufacturability
- Documentation of test procedures and training test operators/technicians.
- Use failure analysis techniques to proactively determine potential manufacturing issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Degree with applicable experience
- 3-5 years of Experience in writing test software
- Programming experience w/ LabVIEW
- Programming experience in C/C++/C#, Java and PLC Programming is a plus
- Understanding of matrix math and data manipulation
- Working knowledge of industrial fieldbuses, ethernet and serial communication
