Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Compensation and Classification Analyst to join a busy team with an organization in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate will research, design and implement classification and compensation programs, policies and procedures. This company requires that you have received the Covd-19 vaccine.
Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and implement leading-edge, efficient, effective and competitive Classification and Compensation programs, policies, and procedures which are informed by local government best practices.
- Assist with future designs, automation and actively engage in opportunities for continuous improvement with regards to our processes, practices or policies.
- Research, analyze and compile statistics on compensation and job classifications to develop competitive position descriptions and classifications that align with industry standards, and to ensure internal parity of compensation across departments. Conduct job analyses to determine the classifications into which jobs are to be placed based on similarity of the work performed, the difficulty of the work performed, and the qualifications necessary to perform the work; recommend pay grades into which classifications should be assigned and write technical documentation to support decisions
- Provide consultation on organizational structure and position design
- Provide advice on the resolution of classification and salary complaints
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of professional level expertise in classification of jobs and/or compensation program management.
- Experience with developing and maintaining job classifications and titles in conjunction with NC State Government and Local County research/data & analytics
- Experience with researching, developing, and maintaining salary ranges using market data sources
- Experience directly related to Classification and Compensation process improvement
- Understand Market Study research
- Understand Government classification structure
- Great communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels in government
- Professional knowledge of the State of North Carolina Government and Local Government HR policies, compensation, and classification programs & practices
- Bachelors Degree is required
