Accentuate Staffing is assisting a well established chemical distributor in the Durham area who is hiring for a 1st and 2nd shift chemical operator. These are long term, contract to hire opportunities. Previous chemical experience a huge plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Will be required to mix chemicals according to batch records
- Operator will weigh and fill drums with chemicals
- Will operate a sit-down forklift to move bags and drums of chemicals and solvents throughout the facility
- May assist with loading and unloading trucks and railcars
Requirements:
- Candidate must have experience operating a sit-down forklift
- Must have previous manufacturing experience
- Previous chemical experience a plus, but not required
- Must be comfortable lifting 50+ lbs continuously and working in a non climate controlled environment
- Must have high school diploma/GED equivalent
- Will be required to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
