Accentuate Staffing has an immediate opportunity for a Buyer with busy inventory management system in RTP, NC. The Buyer is responsible for the purchasing of raw materials, components and finished goods required to support production and customer order requirements. Additionally, they will execute purchases of capital and indirect material to support the rest of the business. The buyer is responsible for meeting these objectives while maintaining a productive relationship with the supply base to ensure appropriate focus on quality, schedule, and cost reduction. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate with a degree in Supply Chain Management. This company does offer a hybrid work schedule and also offers a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzes demand and customer forecasts using MRP to issue purchase orders based on MRP suggestions. Reviews MRP settings relevant to supply planning and purchasing, and works with the team to suggest and implement changes. Maintains master data for purchased materials in MRP (contract pricing, lead time, MOQ, etc.). Contributes to group analysis of production requirements
  2. Regularly reviews and follows up on open purchase orders. The buyer ensures suppliers are prioritizing correctly and communicates information back to the business about delays or other issues in a clear and timely manner. The buyer must communicate with appropriate urgency, know when to use email vs phone, and know when to escalate both internally and within the supplier’s organization
  3. Indirect material purchasing, price analysis, troubleshooting interruptions to the supply chain, finding new suppliers, obtaining quotes
  4. Supports Accounts Payable and Receiving to resolve any discrepancies on price, quantity, etc. Supports Finance with PPV analysis
  5. Measures and reviews supplier delivery and quality.
  6. Helps to coordinate and facilitate engineering changes. Works with engineering to communicate obsolescence risk and source approved alternate parts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management and internship or work experience is strongly preferred
  • If no degree min of 3 years of operation planning or purchasing experience is required
  • MRP/ERP experience is required
  • Must be proficient with MS Office
