Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist to join a growing technology company in Durham, NC.  This role will provide support and administrative assistance to the HR department under the direction of the HR Director.   This is a Direct Hire opportunity with an leading organization!

Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  •  Provide assistance to HR Director on reviewing verbal counseling
  •  Provide support to supervisors with regard to basic interviewing, guidance on preliminary disciplinary actions, and other basic HR related issues.
  •  Assist in resolution of employee issues; answer questions as they relate to HR.
  •  Be proactive in all matters dealing with HR issues.

Recruiting, Staffing:

  • Provide recruitment support to supervisors and managers including internal and external job postings, resume screening, preliminary interviewing, and follow through on candidate selections.
  • Review job descriptions, assisting managers with revisions as necessary
  • Process all criminal background checks, review, and make recommendations to HR Director on hiring
  • Handle all compliance as it relates to criminal background checks and tracking.
  • Onboarding of new hires (collect all forms and enters in the system)

Employee Files:

  • Maintain employee files and documentation as required by state and federal laws.

Payroll:

  • Process biweekly and bi-monthly payroll for multi-State locations.
  • Process terminations, data changes, transfers, Personal data changes, incentives, deduction reconciliation, final payout calculations, quarterly reports, and accruals report.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Run reports for Finance and Controllers as needed.

Benefits:

  • Assist with benefits administration health and welfare, and retirement plans company-wide.
  • Act as liaison between insurance providers and handling of complicated benefits issues with carriers.
  • Assist with managing and understanding insurance regulations, plan designs, third party record keeping/ administration required.
  • Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations required.
  • Process monthly billings from insurance providers, review billing for accuracy. Resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll.

Workers Compensation:

  • Handle workers compensation claims including initial injury reporting through return to work.

Requirements:

  • B.S. Business Admin, Human Resources Management or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Three to Five years of experience minimum in a generalist capacity
  • Effective communication and customer service skills (verbal, written, follow-up, and issue resolution)
  • Be detail oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, ADP workforce, iReports, SAP)
  • Strong understanding of multi State payroll practices and well as State and Federal regulations
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Knowledgeable of HR policies, benefits, payroll, employment laws, and multi State payroll.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with our customers
