Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for an Outsource Fabrication Buyer to join a leading manufacturing company in Raleigh, NC.  This role will review and communicate fabrication requirements and specifications, identify and manage fabrication vendors, and manage and expedite the fabrication of outsourced parts and assemblies to keep projects moving forward on schedule and on budget. This is a direct hire opportunity!

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend fabrication drawings and specifications for requesting quotations and reviewing proposals.
  • Confer and negotiate with vendors to obtain agreement on such items as price, availability, delivery, quality to obtain the maximum value for the company.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and Bid requests
  • Create demands in Fourth Shift/SAP for all material needed
  • Track all orders, and expedite orders as needed to meet manufacturing, installation, and shipping schedules.
  • Coordinate with procurement team and other internal teams such as production control, manufacturing, customer service, and accounting to assure outsource items meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Initiate and support the investigation and proposed introduction of alternative materials, processes and new technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in fabrication, machine shop, or purchasing
  • Knowledge of Fourth Shift or SAP helpful
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple work assignments at once
  • Question information to achieve clarity
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly and effectively share information in person and in writing internal and external to the company.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Highly collaborative to discuss issues, identify options, and implement solutions supported by the teams impacted.
  • Planning and procurement of outside service providers and tools
  • Negotiating techniques and moderation of meetings
  • Reliability in regards to dates, achievement of objectives, assigned priorities and ability to work under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude.
