Accentuate Staffing is assisting a leading print manufacturing company in the Morrisville, NC area with hiring an EHS Specialist to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity offering excellent benefits.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable state safety requirements
  2. Conduct routine safety inspections, workplace audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses throughout the facility
  3. Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  4. Track, document, and follow up on safety-related corrective actions to ensure completion
  5. Provide safety training on topics such as PPE, machine safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), hazard communication, and emergency procedures
  6. Promote and monitor proper PPE usage throughout the facility
  7. Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, training documentation, SDS files, and other required EH&S records
  8. Support workers’ compensation reporting and injury case management processes
  9. Analyze safety trends and recommend improvements to reduce workplace incidents
  10. Coordinate annual hearing conservation and audiometric testing programs
  11. Assist with safety committee activities and employee engagement initiatives
  12. Deliver safety communications through toolbox talks, signage, and awareness campaigns
  13. Partner with leadership and other company locations to maintain consistency in safety practices
  14. Support safety inspections, audits, and regulatory visits as needed
  15. Manage and monitor first aid supply inventories

Requirements:

  1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or a related field; equivalent manufacturing safety experience will also be considered
  2. 1-3 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
  3. Knowledge of OSHA standards, machine guarding, hazard communication, and lockout/tagout procedures
  4. Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping abilities
  5. Effective verbal and written communication skills
  6. Ability to work directly on the manufacturing floor and engage with employees at all levels of the organization
  7. Experience maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety documentation preferred
  8. OSHA 30-Hour certification or willingness to obtain certification
  9. Familiarity with ergonomics, contractor safety programs, and workplace safety audits is a plus
