Responsibilities:

• Practice sound inventory planning.
• Maintain Purchasing practices and department policies and procedures.
• Monitor inventory needs and plan for daily demand generated by forecast and consumption rates.
• Place and expedite purchase orders based on company needs.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
• Review MRP for parts requirements to support manufacturing.
• Negotiate blanket orders and contracts
• Perform analysis of vendors cost, quality and delivery to identify areas of improvement.
• Provide feedback and guidance on purchased materials to all departments.
• Issue and monitor supplier corrective actions when required to correct delivery or quality issues.
• Perform cycle counts as needed.

Requirements:

• Proficient in MS Excel and Access applications, as well as data base queries.
• Proficient in all areas of materials planning and operations.
• Strong analytical and statistical problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, as well as ability to prioritize and multi-task in a cross-functional environment.
• 2 + years experience working with MRP systems.
