Accentuate Staffing is assisting a local healthcare organization in Raleigh, NC with their search for a Benefits Coordinator. This is a contract position covering a leave of absence for 6-8 weeks!
Responsibilities:
- Assists the HR team in administering benefit open enrollment and with the ongoing maintenance of existing benefit plans (medical, dental, life, STD, LTD, vision, FSA, HSA, 403b and supplemental plans). This may include entering benefit information into an HRIS system, collecting and tracking forms, data verification, and answering questions for employees about the benefit enrollment process.
- Assist in scheduling and administrative onboarding of newly hired employees to ensure new hire paperwork is accurately completed.
- Participates in recruitment efforts, which may include job postings internally, scheduling interviews and sending letters to applicants.
- Make outgoing phone calls and conduct reference checks, process electronic background checks, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions in person, via email, and over the phone
- Helps complete and process verbal and written employment verifications.
- Ensures confidentiality of all HR information.
- Filing as necessary
- Perform miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned
- Responsible for implementing benefit enrollments, changes and reconciling enrollment to monthly benefit bills for payment
- Collaborates with Payroll Specialist to ensure benefits are correct in the HRIS database.
- Responds to internal and external requests for benefits information.
- Assist HR Manager with COBRA and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Sharing basic information/packet with employee, send out first FMLA request form, create a file folder for the HR Manager that includes basic info.
- Assists with the intake, file setup, communication, and initial processing of workers compensation claims and works with HR Manager
- Attend Employee Relations Task Force meeting
- Assist HR Generalist/Recruiter with Hospice and Palliative Care Month
- Assist Payroll Specialist with new employee benefit orientation.
- Assist with maintaining company organization chart.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Three to five years’ experience in Human Resources administrative experience with an emphasis in Benefit administration.
- Must possess excellent human relations, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Flexible and able to handle varying workload and responsibilities as necessary.
- Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Experience with Paycor preferred.
- A strong knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements on the state and federal level.
