Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting a Data Analyst for a growing manufacturer in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate will have previous data collection and analysis experience within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with IT group in providing clear direction on data collection and organization project needs. Plan and execute user acceptance testing.
- Identify and articulate gaps and inconsistencies in source data that may impact analyses.
- Query data from relational databases and extract data from flat files to manipulate information into different perspectives.
- Interface with various internal customers to define reports and data collection to support NPI, Sustaining, and other Improvement projects.
- Develop and generate reports to all levels of the organization using data collected from various external sources.
- Work directly with Quality Engineers to identify trends and provide Statistical and Quality Analysis based on reports generated.
- Complete data mining and social computing in order to detect trends with our products in the field.
- Creation and modification of specifications and work instructions to support ISO requirements.
Requirements:
The self-driven candidate must have a technical degree with experience working in a corporate environment. This candidate should have demonstrated experience in data collection, management, and analysis, preferably in support of the ISO 9001 standards.
- Associates of Science degree and 2 years of experience as a Quality Technician or Data Analyst.
- Working knowledge of Quality and Statistical Analysis tools. Familiarity with SAS JMP statistical software and data analysis is preferred.
- Database query skills using SQL language is preferred.
- Experience programming with Excel, Access, and reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Proficient at Office software tools including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Teamwork: the candidate must be able to communicate well with cross-functional team members and be able to efficiently collaborate with team members to achieve the project goals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; proven organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work on several assignments concurrently, detail oriented.
- Capable of clearly defining issues/progress and communicating status via email.
- Must be able to work with minimal direction on short-term and long-term projects.
