Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for procurement of supplies and services for key projects
• Candidates will have the background and understanding on how to collect and triage the purchasing needs of the various users and prioritize the purchasing process to insure timely deliveries
• Gather business purchase requirements and develop and maintain a priority list of those items
• Accountable and responsible for creating and analyzing requests for quotations
• Negotiate, review, and administer vendor contracts in support of company goals and objectives and to secure advantageous pricing and terms
• Foster close working relationships with all departments to ensure alignment and collaboration with critical stakeholders
• Coordinate complex purchases and required lead times
• Resolve acknowledgement and invoice discrepancies, as needed
• Measures supplier performance and relevance and expedite orders as needed
• Participate and collaborate with Quality Teams for the qualification of new and existing vendors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, materials management, operations management or related field
• 10+ years combined experience as a buyer or senior procurement professional, preferably in Biotech company
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
• Talent in negotiations and networking
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Ability to analyze alternatives and use judgment
• Familiarization with GMP’s and quality systems an asset
