Accentuate Staffing is assisting a large research company in the Durham area who is hiring for an Animal Research Technician. This is a 1st shift, contract opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be responsible for routine wellness checks on rodents
- Must be comfortable dosing rodents using various methods as well as performing tissue removal and blood draws
- Responsible for performing necessary behavioral tests on rodents
Requirements:
- Candidate must have 2+ years experience working with rodents
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or biological sciences strongly preferred, Associate’s Degree required
- Biological research experience a plus
- Must be comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have flexibility to work nights and weekends when necessary
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
