Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a New Patient Technician to join an established pharmaceutical company in the Cary area.  This position is responsible for the reconciliation and review of enrollment paperwork collected during the home visit, transfer of prescriptions, preparation of provider medication regimen assessment paperwork for the Clinical Pharmacist, scheduling and coordinating of medication delivery setup for new patients, exhibits a collaborative approach to coordinate patient care, and proactively investigates and resolves new patient issues.

Responsibilities:
-Data entry of prescriptions, insurance and patient demographic information
-Reconcile and prepare home inventory data and perform prescription transfers prior to clinical review by a Pharmacist
-Enroll eligible patients into appropriate contract programs and document all program data appropriately
-Successful receipt, processing, adjudication, billing and fulfillment of medication orders
-Review and process Provider responses and prescriptions on returned new patient paperwork, synchronize medication quantities to documented home inventory quantities, bill, and fill all prescriptions
-Successful coordination of new patient deliveries
-Record and categorize medication regimen intervention responses from Providers
Maintain a knowledge base of Third Party adjudications, including: processing, Preferred Drug Lists (PDLs), Prior Authorization process, and insurance trends
-Answers patients questions/concerns regarding their medications and refer to a Pharmacist where needed

Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-PTCB Certification (Required)
-Medication and chronic disease state familiarity through prior healthcare experience (preferably 2 years healthcare experience in a physician’s office, hospital, or pharmacy setting)
-Two or more years of Managed Care experience preferred
