Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a  Junior Product Developer to join a local athletic wear distributor in the RTP area.  This is a direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of innovative foot care accessories related to seasonal product initiatives
• Coordinate with sales & design teams to create product line(s) from concept to reality
• Perform as creative contributor to product development process, including new constructions, treatments and product development/design techniques
• Maintain R/D database; spec sheets, factory compliance, development reports, costing analysis.
• Assist in development of products focusing on construction, material applications and graphics
• Correspond daily w/ overseas factories to deliver distinct product construction options
• Ensure conformance to all product development specifications as established by design, development and merchandising teams
• Organize all incoming samples for display in PD Showroom, salesmen packets and or meetings
• Create Spec sheets for all new development styles.
• Create Development SX numbers for all new development styles.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, 4 year college/university in design, development, manufacturing or operations management preferred
• Minimum 1 year work experience, preferably within footwear/foot care accessories, apparel product development; may consider operations management, production and/or commercialization functionality
• High intermediate demonstrated skill with Microsoft Excel regarding spreadsheet report generation and analysis; Creative Suite/Illustrator capable; Intermediate level skill set with other Microsoft Office products and applications
