Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Cash Accountant to join a local company in the Raleigh area.  This position is responsible for recording cash transactions, preparing financial statements and analyzing operating data.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews and reconciles over 20 bank statements and security deposit accounts
• Initiates and reviews all monthly banking functions including wire, ACH and account transfer transactions
• Performs daily banking requirements including reporting
• Ensures the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions
• Creates quarterly billings for various company departments
• Maintains travel and legal analysis reporting
• Prepares residential tenant activity graphs and reports quarterly
• Assist in year-end closing
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field
• Two to four years of accounting experience
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Familiarity with an accounting software package. (Yardi a plus)
