Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Plant Accountant to join a growing company in the Mebane area.  This position is a key member of the Finance team supporting 2 plants. The Accountant is responsible for providing cost and inventory control expertise and guidance, with a focus on analysis and interpretation of assigned manufacturing operations in order to optimize financial performance and competitiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Supports monthly and annual closing processes by providing financial performance results analysis and reporting, with interpretation of results and recommendation of actions / plans for improvement.
• Responsible for Direct Production Cost, Period Expense, budget variation performance, Performance Improvement Plans (PAP’s), Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and preparation and distribution of Monthly Performance Reports.
• Participates in Operating Performance Review process by preparing Weekly Operating Report, reconciling performance in SAP & AIMS, analyzing deviations and trends, and recommending improvements.
• Ensures accurate valuation of inventories and participates Cycle Count Control Programs.
• Participates in the planning and coordination of annual plant budget requirements.
• Participates in the development and maintenance of standard cost systems and the establishment of performance measures.
• Development, maintenance and auditing of annual product cost standard models.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• Minimum of 0-2 years of Finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SAP data environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Lotus Notes.
• Possesses professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Can work independently and multi-task in faced paced environment.
