Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor for a direct hire position with a client in the Raleigh area.  This is a 24/7 facility that manufactures consumer goods. This person will supervise manufacturing personnel to include as few as 14 people and as many as 30. The Production supervisor is in charge of making sure all safety requirements are followed and production goals are attained. He/She would need to have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a highly automated manufacturing environment. The facility runs on 12 hour shifts with a 2-2-3 schedule. Accentuate Staffing is looking for a quality control foreman for a manufacturer of pre-cast concrete in the Wake Forest area.

Responsibilities

The QC Foreman is responsible for conducting pre-pour and/or post-pour inspections on all concrete products. The individual shall conduct daily inspections. In addition, the QC Foreman shall be able to perform the following duties in the most efficient and effective manner possible to provide the best quality product for the customer according to our standards.

• Consult with the QC Manager to resolve any occurring and/or reoccurring production QC problems, examples, form work, vibration, steel placement, concrete and product handling, etc.

• Review all QC issues (i.e. major patching, remakes, scrap product, etc) found during pre-pour and/or post-pour inspection.

• Conduct pre-pour inspection of all products poured on shift. Pre-pour inspections include: forms clean, dimension checked, proper application of form oil, check reinforcing position, etc. QC Foreman must sign off prior to product being poured.

• Conduct post-pour inspection on all finished concrete products. QC foreman shall check that all white hats have conducted post-pour inspections and that products are “complete” and properly marked and stenciled. Any discrepancies shall be marked on the product production sheet. The QC Foreman shall stencil product with QC stencil once product is approved. No product shall be placed in storage or shipped until approved and stenciled by the QC Foreman.

• Perform spot check loads leaving the plant daily.

• Inspect incoming deliveries of steel, rock, sand, and other accessories used in production as requested.

• Assist with fulfilling daily production requirements.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the QC Manager and/or the General Manager.
• Conduct pre-pour and/or post-pour of all products produced in the plant.
• Check all the alignment of all reinforcement and make sure of proper sizing.
• Re-instruct all employees on the proper methods and/or procedures required should a problem arise.
• Properly tag the finished products with the appropriate colored identifications.
• Assist training the employees as well as oversee all repairs required to produce a quality product.
• Make time for random inspections of any/all products which are stored in the yard.
• Make the determination to notify the proper personnel (at once) and/or remove any form or forms from production that may be causing a defective product.
• Make sure the form(s) have been analyzed and repaired if necessary.
• Make random dimensional checks daily on all products and record those findings.

• NPCA Production and Quality School certification.
• The noise level in the environment may be loud – the use of ear protection is then required.
• Personal Protective Equipment required at all times!

Responsibilities

• Deals directly with customers on a routine basis
• Is responsible for establishing & maintaining a working relationship with the customer
• Is required to attend monthly sales meetings
• Is responsible for following up on projects to determine who is awarded
• Is responsible for working closely with purchasing to make sure all job costing is up to date & accurate
• Is responsible for working closely with production, sales, project management, dispatch & G-M with communications
• Handles all activities related to pricing, receiving new awards & distribution of awarded projects
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; bend; reach with hand and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience in construction estimating or 2 year degree in construction related major & experience in the Pre-cast concrete industry.

Leading manufacturers in Raleigh and RTP areas are looking for Assemblers. Must have 2+ years recent assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
