Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting an Accounting Supervisor for a client of ours in Morrisville, NC. This position is a direct-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare closing paperwork and assist with preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Propose and enter journal entries
  • Create and file supporting documents
  • Prepare analysis of select accounts
  • Supervise three employees
  • Perform daily cash, check, and credit card balancing procedures
  • Maintain daily cash receipts file
  • Perform month-end closing routine
  • Administer Accounts Payable process
  • Answer all vendor inquiries
  • Maintain all Accounts Payable files
  • Generate bimonthly Accounts Payable checks
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for staff’s credit card activity and make payments online
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable and follow-up with overdue accounts
  • Prepare onsite and miscellaneous Accounts Receivable invoices
  • Support Director of Accounting and Finance with the budgeting process
  • Provide assistance during annual financial audit
  • Assist with evaluation and documentation of internal controls and accounting processes
  • Prepare and disperse monthly staff leave summaries to the Chief Operating Officer, Directors, and Managers for review before sending to individual staff members
  • Perform additional assignments as required

Requirements

  • CPA certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP application
  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with General Ledger Accounting Systems; Great Plains and/or Dynamics experience is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and analysis
  • Ability to provide the highest level of Customer Service when dealing with membership and internal colleagues
  • Understanding and utilization of technology to maximize efficiencies
